Didn't think I was ever going to have to post this but I want to warn others about the state I once argued in favor of. Day1 R4, current R5, past president so I know all the history. The good and the bad. Original account was in the low triple digits so this ain't my first rodeo. Early state drama was put to rest when the last of the toxic players left. We had a good run of peaceful cooperative play among all alliances. We won most of our SvS, were recruiting active players from other states, and everything was trending upward. Fast forward to 3 transfers ago. We brought in a big group of moderately strong players into our alliance. All was well still but there were some red flags. When one of our players would make a mistake, such as sending wrong hero to Bear, these guys would say things like "you're lucky I'm not R4 or you would be kicked out and burned", "I want a spot in the front row or I'll leave and burn people", and my new favorite "You guys are lucky I'm here, my old state even says so". Then the next transfer we lost our states super kind, but only whale. That's when it got ugly. That group I mentioned, their true colors came out. They attacked a very nice player due to his ethnicity and nothing more. This upset the whole state. They were told they broke the rules so they formed their own alliance. Since then it's been nothing but chaos. Those players, with their mini whale, are stronger than the rest of the state. 3 alliances sending perfectly timed triple rallies can't unseat them from the castle. So now it's a rein of terror. Burn first, ask questions later. Do what I say or burn. You looked at me funny, burn. You get the idea. People have joined their alliance out of fear. Dozens of players quit an already quiet state. Tons more transferred out. I stayed back to wait for my friends to accumulate passes and try to keep it calm for the sake of the remaining players. I'm leaving, along with all my active alliance members and the other alliances are doing the same. Several alliances have disbanded. So once we are all gone in 2 weeks there might be 2 alliances left. Maybe. I post this to warn others of what they are walking into. This isn't a farmer complaining about a competitive server. We all dropped power because we want to join a leading state for the competition. This isn't a f2p crying about spenders, I'm a moderate spender. This is about a tyrant running the state and wanting everything for themselves. They said we have to let the "whale" win every event. They said their top 5 is to visit every alliance to receive fort rewards. They put in a spin doctor as their R5 to make it look like they are kind. So don't be fooled. Do yourself a favor and skip 1790 when you are searching for a new server.
